I knew at some point I won’t be able to update regularly so I’ve been saving this trivia as a filler whenever I cannot post consistently. The question is really simple, with two stages -
Match the backpacks to their rightful owners.
Match the handphones to the rightful owners.
Now since some of you readers have seen us carrying our respective backpacks, the second requirement should stump you! Please give the answer in the following format …
Person – Bag, Phone
So for example: “Jay Jun – Grey, U600″ and continue for the whole Rat Pack.
Let’s see how intuitive your sixth sense is …. muahaha …

Da da dada dum! It is impossible to have video specials now because I’m not toting a laptop around. At first I wanted to make up for it by having at least one mini competition for each country that we visit. But my head was hurting from thinking of cheap but meaningful prizes, most especially on how I am going to distribute the prizes to potential winners in Australia or even *gasp* Europe.
So trivias will suffice! Hehe …
Chendol seems to be ubiquitious in West Malaysia, so much so that it’s too easy to indulge on a bowl on a hot day. And in tribute of Malaysian’s obsession with food, the question is …
How many chendols did the Rat Pack consume in the 6 days they were in Malaysia?
The answer is a double digit number. Try your luck by posting your answers in the Comments link below!
Now that my trip has ended, I think it is expected of me to say some wise words. Having met some real hard core backpackers during the trip I’m convinced my advice would be trivial.
Even so, I think there’s one important lesson which I cannot afford not to pass on. So here it is, my cryptic little gem of wisdom …
“It’s true. Don’t ever forget your towel.”
I had fun sharing this with you. Jay Jun’s travel blog ends here.
Since it’s already at the end of the trip, just to let you know. I did miss up on two chances for Video Specials. I was suppose to do one in Venice but it rained. And the second was in Istanbul, it was just too hectic.
But nevertheless, I had a secret competition of, “The One Who Posts The Most Comments!”. Yeap, bet you didn’t see that one coming.
Before you proceed to add three thousand comments to each of my blog entries, the winner has already been decided, and it is the Bubblin’ Hai Lin !!
The prize .. ?
One Turkish New Lira! Not just any, it’s the newly released and better valued currency to help Turkey stand a better chance of being inducted into the European Union. The old Lira had to append the word ‘million’ to every price tag. Every conversation went like this …
“How much for the coffee?”
“3 million, sir”
“How much for the kebab?”
“Shish kebab, 5 million.”
So the New Turkish Lira is rare (well, for now anyway), and it’s worth around 1 AUD! Or 2.90 MYR!! So … congratulations again!
This is the spike that went through the stomach of my good friend, Constantine the Great. As you can see it is very long, very sharp and rusted at the same time.
If you somehow missed it below. While I was hanging out with the bunch of Greeks, Constantine was trying to collect a UIA (Union of International Architects) Congress poster behind a cast iron fence and got his belly punctured. And it happened about 4:30 in the wee hours of morning at Taksim Square. He was taken to a public hospital by a police car but it was too dodgy. Then they found a private one which landed him a fat bill of TRL2,000 (about AUD2,000 or RM5,800). I still don’t know if he bought travel insurance. This picture above was taken in the evening of the next day.
By the way bro, if you’re reading this. You promised you’ll give me your email the next day but landed in hospital !!
Back in France, we bought a 40 ounce jar of Nutella thinking it was a good idea. You know, easy to use, high in energy and long shelf life. But after two weeks, it’s proven a drag carrying it around. So on the train from Rome to Venice, I had a Nutella binge.
By the way if you haven’t seen the France Special, you can find it here.
Thinking of awarding the Swiss competition winner within the next couple of days, so send in your answers before I do that. As for the answers so far, I CAN tell you that ONE person got it quite close.
